- FH – T2DM, Gestational diabetes
Clinical management
- Investigations
- Oral glucose tolerance test (at 24-28 weeks + just after booking if prev GDM)
- Treatment
- Stop statins, ACE-I
- Stop diabetic medications except metformin/insulin
- Scan – detailed anomaly scan at 20 weeks
- Lifestyle – diet, exercise
- Eyes – retinal screening each trimester
- Monitoring – blood glucose
- Followup / Safety-net
