Clinical management

  • Explanation
    • irritation of the tendon i.e. the tissue that connects muscle to the bone of the elbow, – it causes pain on the outer part of the elbow and is often worse with twisting movements e.g. opening a jar – often caused by overuse of the forearm, often seen in manual workers and racquet sports players
  • Treatment
    • Lifestyle – Modify activities that bring on symptoms
    • Medications – Analgesia
    • Others – Elbow support
