  • Sickle cell disease – inherited blood disorder causing red cells to become sickle shaped, these cells can block small blood vessels resulting in damage to those areas – this is what causes the complications of sickle cell disease

  • Previous screening, partner previous screening
  • FH – sickle cell disease or trait
