Clinical management
- Explanation
- Pressure inside the eye becomes too high very quickly. It is an emergency because if it is not treated quickly, it can lead to permanent loss of vision.
- It is due to a sudden blockage of drainage of aqueous humour fluid out of your eye. As more fluid continues to be made, the pressure inside your eye rises quickly.
